I had the absolute joy of working with Barrett’s big sister for her newborn session a few years ago, so when Barrett’s parents reached out to schedule his session, I couldn’t have been more excited to meet this little guy! It’s always such a privilege to watch families grow and be there to capture these precious milestones along the way. Every time I get to work with a family again, it feels like catching up with old friends—especially when they bring in their newest little one!

Barrett’s family came to my home studio in Easley, SC, just a short drive from Greenville. Mom had shared that she wanted to add a bit of Christmas magic to the session, and I was beyond thrilled to help bring that vision to life. Creating beautiful holiday-inspired setups is one of my favorite things to do, and I love how it added a special touch to Barrett’s newborn photos.

From the moment we began, Barrett was a dream to work with. He was calm, peaceful, and slept like a little angel the entire time—making it so easy to capture those sweet, serene moments. His perfect complexion and beautiful skin made every shot feel effortless, and I couldn’t help but be amazed at how stunning he looked in every setup.

It’s these moments—these little glimpses into a family’s story—that I’ll always treasure. I feel incredibly lucky to be able to photograph these fleeting, early days, and it’s a privilege to be part of capturing the love and connection that grows between parents and their children.

Barrett has the sweetest little nickname—Bear! When mom and dad brought along his tiny, cozy blanket, I knew we had to incorporate it into the shoot. It was the perfect touch, and it made the session feel even more personal and heartwarming. Seeing his little personality shine through as we got these adorable shots was such a joy.
